one concentration.

you cant help who you like.

you can help how you react.

reactions are who you are to other people.

dignity is respected.

respect will not get you laid

if thats what you are looking for.

neither will mass quantities

of pumpkin spice granola.

trust me i know.

it snowed tonite.
girls who talk with skipping
notes like their words have melodies
others dont. (they do btw) (proof)

was out reading some stuff
and when i came home
on the sidewalk from the lot
to the door
there were bare foot prints in
the snow at regular distance
like someone walked to their car,
started it and walked back.

someone randomly told me the joke that goes to the punch line colin told me over a year ago now. As she was telling me the joke i saw the punchline coming and got kind of excited. "There's no plate like chrome for the Hollandaise"

how is that not a good punch line it has chrome (best metal coating ever)! and hollandaise (best breakfast coating ever)!

pffffft

there was something better in my head. i swear. they havent been translating lately. obv.

apologies.

bringing people together...

some songs are more like home
they have older
wooden tones
and imagery thats
slowed down.
things creep
when they are cold or
comfortable.

i wanted to read a book written by a poet but i watched some movie instead. and then elf.

doubt. just keep moving.

i want to sing with zooey deschanel. can you make that happen? if so gchat me.

i have a metaphorical understanding that abstract life math is a machine that generates 0. the function is not injective.

we havent got any wood left
so the fire will have to die down
it will still last an hour or more
it will pass good cooking stage on the way
so we can finally use those hot dogs
and maybe even pop some pop corn
in a pot with some butter.
it will sound like a maraca on its side.
shake it before it pops.

pop pop pop steam leaking through
the space between the lid and the pot
mixing with the smoke being sucked
through the flue out the chimney
gathering with smoke from neighboring
houses and pop corn pots in the valley
making curls and sweeps breaking
the temperature difference space
that separates and creates a blanket
mixed with clouds to keep
the ground from freezing
just a little longer.
we have problems with repetition
maybe its stability
or complacency
maybe its boredom

what do we have problems with again?

not profanity. we do not have a problem with profanity.
thankfully.

nite fucker.

it used to be
when i was a kid
i would wait up all nite waiting for the first snow.
anticipation killed me.
i had many sleepless nites because
weather people spread mis-information.

now I sit on my bed in the dark with the shade open listening to julie doiron, working on some book and will probably fall asleep way before it doesnt start and wake up after it would have melted if it fell.

i realized that editing for me mostly means removing 30% of the words i type. who would have thought that i use too many words? i was keeping a separate file where i pasted all the words i cut. i thought it might be interesting to see which words I wasted most. there was no interesting pattern. turns out putting all the words i dont need in the same file is pretty boring. i should have guessed that.

and then i try
to get lost in these headphones
because its cold
but they are too shitty to hear textures.
they miss the nuances of your voice i remember
hearing that kept me warm last time.

the space in there is just as cold.
it has larger reverbs
there were stones under the drums
the far wall was brick
and the floors were wood.

i can tell you used lonely microphones.

the other nite

i was thinking if you couldnt
cross fingers and had
no wishes nothing good would happen
to anyone

i was thinking when you hear
sounds and see faces they
get filed neatly on shelves
easily accessible and retrievable
according to some proprietary
system no one could hope to learn
but makes perfect sense

i was thinking if you had a banjo
you could make music that would kill birds and
knock down trees.
i dont know how it got to be 11:30 already. went grocery shopping, walked to the studio cleaned w/max getting ready for sound killing wall building 2007. Plus my gear is set up better now. Also bounced some new mfdoj songs for colin and burned a cd. then walked home.

crazy activities
as traveling
in depending directions
losing steam with caring
and sympathy
motivation with age
pfffft ( i cant figure out how to type a farting noise )

we created melodies
and waves with our arms
and fingers.
independent of each other.
and we are proud of the way they fit together.

it rained on my head tonite.
its really fall
i hope the snow actually comes.

spent all nite catching up
on breath while i slept.
lost it earlier
during outlawed activities...

pay for everything.

i dont know what any of this means.
i cant believe its 11:30.

call me.
