a camp with fresh weeds growing all around
in a feed the bees kind of way
cause its sweet sweet sweet
and dew fresh

in a thought for completion and
creation with the freedom of yellow stained
cloud stretched skies
daily. hourly.
build. make. design. create.
the time as such a commodity
the mature capitalist society
explores its boundaries
of debt as affordability
and cash as building. making. designing. creating.
all the things you can do with a hammer
on dirt
under the ever running
cleaning un caring freedom
of air
gold. in a hole.
in the sky.

educrat
1968, usually pejorative; first element from education, second from bureaucrat. Said to have been coined by Claude R. Kirk Jr. (b.1926), governor of Florida.
While political leaders and corporate CEOs, focusing as usual on the quarterly return, call for "workers for the new economy," their educational reforms are producing just that: students with a grab-bag of minor skills and competencies and minds that are sadly uneventful, incapable of genuine intellectual achievement and lacking any sense of continuity with the historical and cultural traditions of our society. Their world is small, bleak, and limited; their world will become ours. [David Solway, "The Turtle Hypodermic of Sickenpods," Quebec, 2000]

Hello said my shaky voice, well how you doin' I start to stutter ah can't cha tell I'm ah doin' fine.
things work together everywhere all the time.
the music will be when everything makes a sound.
sometimes - with absence of knowing - combined
into drones
and sometimes there is no absence of knowing.
whichever - whatever - just remember
quit your job and work together with the sun.

oh right -- and i forgot
the red squirrels.
writing nothing except about
that which is around you
here its snow snow snow
dying trees coming alive
coyotes yelling at the fucking sky
and owls hunting. hunting
though no animals starved this winter.
not one.
there is some relief
in age
dont worry though
there will always be a source of anxiety.
i promise.
there will always be struggle.
there will always be wonder
curious and confusion.
death in the mean time
from famine or flea
shhh. i still don't know. im out of practice.

i was thinking it might be nice to write some more and maybe do a reading.
that might be a stretch.
but you know
tonight things, tomorrow, things.
it would be nice to have a digital camera
and a cabin.
if talking about cabin and watching cabin and reading cabin brought cabin i would have 1,000,000
and an axe.

chaos is the future and beyond it is freedom confusion is next and next after that is the truth you gotta cultivate what you need to need
as quick triumphs
'feel the moment slip away'
there are things
like the wind blowing
n the snow not falling...
seem like mysteries
are told told told
ice freezes round the grass
roots grow deep
worms process
feet cross the bridge
n on n on n on
quick now
stick your hands
in the shit
n stir it up
it'll grow n feed
trust

i drove through the rain and through the snow. the snow disappeared and everything cleared and things then grew dark all around me.
a calmer day on the ice ground winter
feet
it creeps it creeps
and then it falls over the falls in a rush of speed
to break on the rock of needs 8 feet below
the wind colds special and slow
as a reminder of humanity
n a reminder of what is warm
like the backs of special girls
that scream when frozen hands
are shoved in their shirts

it creeps it creeps

well i travel at the speed of a reborn man, i got a lot of love to give from the mirrors of my hand
-- its all colder and
the wind's picked up
cause the the earth is warmer than the air
- the sun hides behind another
half of the earth -
and the water is just not what it was.
physics is poetry when it was nearer to philosophy
and here we have
leaves dying in beauty
the appreciation for everything
is so much more sharp
just before it dies -
man made or organic -
hendrix's marshalls or the leaves.

the roar of fire rings out on high and flames light up the black night sky
things move
this nite n every nite
the lack of vision
gets the best of us all
its all its all its all
a step to love
and sacrifice
n very large statements
covering very large topics
whispered with simplicity
n easy easy words
n the indie folk
dude is writin
music for his indie film maker
friends
by a fire
on a stone
in the haze
when elton john comes on
n he ends up just singing along
then scribbles in a pad
like we all do
about 3 people in the back
seat bumping up n down
in unison
while driving down a dirt road
too fast
tires throwing dust
windows down on
a care free summer nite
when feelings are light
and acoustic picking is
perfectly floating
above everyones head...
someone cried that nite
n someone got head
n someone made a move
that involved wine in a
boobie coffee cup
n it failed so so hard
n 2 watched the sun rise
perched precariously on
the point of a destination
cabin in the woods holdin hands
celebrating lack of vision
and wonderful sights
at the same time
without even knowing
the sacrifice and a step
to love

what the future holds is our everlast our dedication and sincerity, our eternal flame today, tomorrow, forever! we're here to stay.
i think things will stop shaking
when it hits the ground
in the mean time, the floating
oh the floating
will shake the food to vomit
and stain your shirt.
lean forward.
way forward.
right off over the edge
and smile...
even if you've got a little
in the corner there...
it wont matter much unless you kiss someone
or lick it.
it'll just crust up and fall off
give it 15 minutes...
we might hit the ground by then.
might. might.
hey along those same lines,
we hit the white clouds and
thick pile grasses and trees
with our backs straight out
and fell right through to
comfort of blank blank space
and it was everything and
all it needed to be at every second.
it was a complete experience.
and along those lines,
i will erect a fucking granite stone in your honor.
i will carry it to its final and permanent location
- 3 miles into the woods - on my back.
i will dig a hole and set it in the earth on a small hill amidst
rock maples so in the fall it will stand true in the reflected
oranges, reds and yellows of fallen fall leaves.
i will build a 4 foot by 4 foot cedar post fence with barbed wire
around the stone to let people close enough to read
but it will be just a hair too small to bother to want to get inside.
i will erect a fucking stone in your honor
while we are still alive to throw a finger in the face of those
who wait until death to honor greatness 'just in case
the person becomes an asshole in their old age'
it will be shaped like a grave stone and presented similarly because
there is a certain amount of metaphorical death implied even though its
surrounded by the exact meaning of life. i will carve
a poem into this stone with a hammer and chisel that reflects this implication.
it will be personal, full of sadness, shameless love and regretted separation.
i will erect a fucking stone in your honor
and all who stumble across it in the woods will look, read and wonder
at all the details including why a corner of it is missing. you
will be the only one who knows that the corner is the sole existing map
to the monuments location because i will have presented this stone
to you in a hand carved stained oak box with your initials
scribed in a brass plate on top. i'd like to think of it as a treasure
map to a display of the-best-i-could-ever-do-for-you that others will find and use-
generations in your family line away - or maybe other families away - to find our perfect love of friendship living forever in an amazing dark romantic mystery that's sadly beaten out of the youth of today.
i will erect a fucking stone in your honor
that others, not knowing the story, will assign great stories to. the speculation will be floating and perfect. it will be used as a land mark when describing the remote location, and in the future it may become a point on a trail or maybe the destination
on a trail where hikers stop to read and wonder. they will, no doubt think, 'people don't do that for people any more.
why don't people do that for people any more?'
maybe someone else will do this for someone else.
and their stone will be bigger and better than the stone in your honor.
at that point we can be proud that someone beat us.
we can be proud that someone tried like hell for another living person to say what they needed to say in a permanent, original, public, personal way.
we can be proud we inspired one person to do something every person should do every day of their lives.
i will erect a fucking stone in your honor
and it will never fall.
it will never fail.

i opened up my aching hands. i went down like an avalanche. i tool with me the things i found. i used them to help slow me down
proof that we can learn from tradition
knowing your place so you can protect it,
sitting by a smokey dry wood
fire near sunset with friends.
everything you need scattered about
including the smell of burnt wood...
you need need to carry with you
for at least the next 6 months.
when we leave we should return different.
there is always a place to leave
and a place to return to.
"each of us in our own way gotta do something to save our soul. whatever that is."
words you speak while clinging to a lose rock on the side of a mountain are more true, i think. whatever be your rock or mountain.
